ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    Civic exhaust fitment

I have a 2006 civic stock exhaust with a chromed tip. I was wondering if it would be a mess to try and put this on my ride. The muffler is 2" and I have a stock piping. What would a need to install it.

I really like the exhaust and it's stock so it doesn't make noise and that's what I want, but still I dont want to keep that cheap muffler I already have.

If however it looks to be a lot of trouble, d'you think I could get a faire amount of money for the civic muffler

just have a shop weld the canister onto your stock piping. as far as a price, ask them how much they would charge you.

dont bother trying to use the civic piping, as its almost definately shaped entirely wrong.

        bad link forget it.

I thought it was a different muffler but it seems to be only a stainless tip, my mistake, but still it looks great !

Yeah maybe, but that would be like having the same thing as everybody as and I don't the kind of money it takes to switch the muffler for now, I wanted to try the civic muffler because I thought it was a performance muffler from honda but after an inspection I SHOULD have done before posting I found out that it is only a stainless tip bolted on some bracket installed on a stock muffler.

So for now i'm stuck cause the tip doesn't fit on the muffler I already have and I don't want to spend money on something I might be removing in a couple of months ('cause I wanna change the whole exhaust) maybe i'll try to find something cheaper for now.

d'you think I could cut the last pipe on the exhaust, make a bigger hole so I can fit the 2 inch pipe with the bracket and the chrome tip and wield it in place... that's seems more simple yet not more efficient but at least less ugly ??

If you just want the chrome tip why dont you just buy a chrome tip? Otherwise I would just save your money and not go through all that hassle. Going to a muffler shop they can convert your stock piping to whatever diameter the muffler is.

If the exaust has a nice ss tip on it, I would cut that off and cut off the muffler on ur accord. Then have someone weld on the tip and some hangers. As for the two inch pipping, I don't think thats much bigger than the pipe on the cb right now.
