ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    How to lower my car???

I have read the lowered 101 faq,... but not 100% understood.

I intend to get perhaps the Eibach prokit,... and get a standard drop for the CB. My shocks are stock, so can i just maintain that?

I want a lowered ride,... but still feel the Honda factory comfortability R&D on the CD. I do not race and most of the time I am driving at 80kmh in the city and perhapss 110 or 120 on the highway,.... could go to 160kmh and above though.

so, it's just the lowered look and perhaps a little performance.

care to comment and give ideas???

well first off, just lowering spring with stock shocks is a big big no no. ull blow ur shocks and then ur really fd lol. its gonna be hard to find a decent drop and maintain quality. not an issue for me tho, i like em stiff (haha). good luck tho

best way im thinking for you would be to get some upgraded shocks such as the KYB GR-2's that can handle the extra strain of the lowering springs. Since you're just looking for a slight drop, this is the best option IMO. Stock shocks as said before will not cut it at all, I mean they might be really old too, so would u really want to re-use them? Think of it as an investment such as a CAI or Catback exhaust that'll give you some performance.

if I had the money and wanted a subtile drop (1-1.5") I would get some good quality struts (koni, KYB, etc..) and maybe some eilbach springs. still a good ride but not too expensive and better responce in handling.

if your going for looks, try a more unique look and lift it

                ^^lol
you really should replace the struts whether you want a slight drop and 1.25f/1r or you are going for a 4 inch drop. the stock struts have run their course and are probably VERY close to being done or are done. so do it right and do it once

some guy is selling some H&R Sport springs for $100 tthat drop 1.7 ish.

You'll love eibach sportlines, they ride like stock especially with shocks.

                    here's my set up

                    eibach sportlines + kyb agx

got a GREAT deal, $60 for 1 year old springs, $170 for 4 month old shocks

I dont recommend pro kit if you want a dropped look because those drop very little and you wont be very satisfied.

1.2" for pro kit and 1.8" for sport lines.
