ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Car Fogs up real bad

wasn't sure where this thread really goes, so I'll try here.

the problem is my car fogs up real bad and I have tried all kinds of anti fog products and nothing seems to work, if i don't keep my heater on full blast the car starts to instantly fog up, the heat is so intense after a few minutes being at full it starts getting hard to breath in there, has anyone else had this problem ??

also might be related to the fogging but I have noticed allot of condensation when I open my trunk, i noticed my trunk floor was getting wet and I thought I had a leak but now i'm thinking this is caused by the condensation on my trunk.

anyone know how to get rid of these problems ?

Heat will make it fog up more, Turn the knob to cool and when it clears up then turn back on your heat.

No, that just keeps the moisture in the car.

The best way to defog your windows is to run the heater at full blast with the air conditioning on. A/C, among other things, removes moisture from the air. In this case, you are probably better in recirculation mode than bringing air from outside.

Also, cracking your windows OPEN will reduce condensation quite a bit.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to put this in...

You mentioned the trunk had a lot of water in it. That probably isn't from condensation, it's probably from a trunk leak. The water in the trunk will contribute greatly to your fogging problem and could be the reason it's so bad. Fix that first and see if your car fogs less.

I tried Rain-X anti-fog for a few weeks and hated it. Just keep your windows clean, fix your trunk leak, and use the A/C to defog.

I dunno, I think I'd wanna find out why my trunk is wet and stuff, I'd be worried about it rusting out or something. CB7's all seem to have seal problems. I know I need some of my seals replaced but luckily there is hardly any rust issues in Colorado

Hey you need to check your heater core because when they going out they can cause your inside to fog up.

When driving make sure that you're bringing the outside air in (not circulating air) and set it to the windshield or the windshield/foot setting (forget actual terms lol) and it'll clear the fog up.

When I'm driving I'll have to circulate the warm air when I'm in heavy traffic so I'm not sucking in all of the exhaust fumes, my car will begin to fog in no time, as soon as I start bringing in the outside air the fog is gone within seconds. That might help
