ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Suspension

Alright im riding on 19's with 225/35 series tires. I have a 5 finger gap from the fender to the tire on the front and a 4 finger gap in the back. I just need a little advice on what kinda drop would be appropriate for my car. the width of the rims meet up with the fender evenly so i cant drop the car too low. I want a good decent drop.

If you don't want a huge drop I would recommend the KYB/AGX shocks with Tein S springs. I have that setup and I don't really like my car being too low either, and this combo is perfect for me

ideally with such low profile tires, you would want really strong and durable shock absorbers....

Tein S-tech springs are good springs....

for shocks, look into Koni Yellows...they should tame that extra unsprung mass and the increased suspension "shock" rates very well

i think ill stick with the bilstein shocks with the tein s-tech springs...2.1" drop in the front and 1.7" in the rear. sound good?

the Bilstein HD shocks, the only "performance" type Bilstein shocks available for our cars, don't come with such a high dampening rate...they are usually recommended to go with very mild performance springs like the Tein H-tech's, if not with new OEM springs. The HD's might not be strong enough to properly handle the increased spring rate and the shortened suspension travel.

if you are going with the S-tech springs, which are very low and are much stronger than the H-tech's, I would go with the Tokico Illuminas of the Koni Yellows.

Shock absorbers are some of the most important components of your car, next to tires.

                      IMO.

ground control coilover springs or the skunk2 coilover kit with kyb agx struts....my best choice i believe seeing how all are adjustable so i can get the right drop i want.

                              I'm on 215/45/17 with Tein H-Tech 1.5"F, 1.1"R, with KYB GR-2's. Nice ride and a slight drop.
