ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    JDM 1 pc question

I was browsing around my local craigslist, I came accross a pair of 1 piece headlights. Only 60 bucks. Is that a good price?
Reason being is he was trying to black house them and one of the lights got fogged up, is there any way to fix that?
Here is some pics and the post:

If you got the money to take a chance, do it.Months back someone was complaining about ruining the plastic lense by accidently putting something like paint thinner on it.I would give it a shot apparently he didnt care enough to fix the lense.Wet sand the heck out of it starting with something like a 400 or 600 grit and working your way up to like 1500.Then pick up some plastic polish and buff them out.should work, but dont hold me to it.

good deal for one-pieces if you want to spend the time to get the fog out. PM TypeG, if anyone would know the best way to clear those up it would most likely be him
        good luck.

easy fix. The dude just over cooked them and melted some of the lense. It just needs some sanding like he said and some buffing out. A friend of mine did it to his 4th gen lude 1 piece headlights. There should be some DIYs around the net for clearing out headlights or cleaning plastic lenses.

Those look like 90-91s to me... I may be wrong, though.

For that price, grab em. Fix em. If you can't reuse them, sell for a profit! I'm sure it can be fixed... and yes, TypeG is probably the one with the answer

they can most likey be fixed....that is if there is not any warpage from whatever made them fog up.

you just have to ask yourself if your prepared to put forth a ridiculous amount of buffing/polishing to reverse the damage. later.

look like a 90-91 to me too.
wet sandpaper might do the trick

2000 grit sandpaper is the final grain, wet sand will make foggy, but the polish will make look crisp - dont worry, i wetsanded my candyapple red tail lamps
there's plenty of plastic polish products at any auto shop, meguiars is just a name to throw out

Sounds like a deal to me. Take the time to clean them or if you don't want to then yes you can probably make some money by re-selling them on Ebay or something
