Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    License Plate Hider

    Hey i saw this thing that covers up your plate so everyone just sees white. its in the link below. does anyone know where to get them and for how much?

      there are a couple of products on the market that make your license plate invisible to cameras already on the market. one is a plastic sheet that goes over it and the other is a spray.

      looks like what they did in the video was get a paint that changes color when an electric current is introduced and then hooked up some leads so they could turn it on or off via remote.

      anyways, if it's even real then it's highly illegal and I doubt you are gonna find it for sale.

      you might want to look into paints or materials that change colors with electrical current and figure out a way to rig a switch to your plate to introduce a current to it to activate the color change abilities on command. just be warned, if you do this and a cop sees it, or you are caught on the streets with this you are f***ed.

            The plate covers and sprays wont work i saw it on mythbusters lol. the plate cover they're actually using is some kind of glass that with electricity turns white. I remember in a episode of pimp my ride they put a buch of subs in a pick up truck and they hid them under that glass and with a switch the subs would be invisible. But yea if a cop catches someone with that lol i bet thats a fat ticket.

              If you are looking for just a little bit less license plate visibility, look at just a license plate cover that is tinted.. Even with the Rear Plate lights on it makes the plate number less visable. I do not know where you are at and trying to get by with this but I have a tinted plate cover on mine and have been pulled over and have NOT had any trouble with it.. If you wanted to hide it even more disconnecting the plate lights along with a tinted plate cover will cut down on the visability also.. In most states the plate lights are REQUIRED by law and are grounds for at the least a Fix-it Ticket if not a hefty fine..


              EDIT: May I ask why you are trying so hard to hide your licence plate? Just curious.. Later

                Teckademics made it a long time ago, and it was for sale on thier site. But last time i checked it wasn't on there you can try contacting them. But it was pretty pricey like over 200 closer to 300 i think it was.

                  What he is talking about is like the glass that was on the show of pimp my ride. Whenever you want you hit a switch and electric current goes to the glass thus making it solid white so you cannot see through it.

                    y do i want it? to hide my plate from cops y else. so you have to go through a red light thats got a camera, i dont wanna pay a fine for something that i didnt mean to do.

                        they used to sell the spray that makes the plate look all fuzzy on 3sx.com i dunno if they still do tho i always wanted to get some.

                            apparently its an OLED (Organic Light Emmiting Diode). As said above, all thats needed is a current applied, however, its some sort of plastic cover with an integrated OLED. Theoretically, if the wires could be hiden some how, there would be no way a cop could tell you have such device unless he seen it in action........i really want one now, lol
