ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Door window seal.

How would you guys recommend fixing this? I dunno what the heck happened, but the seal is kinda messed up. As far as I know, nothing leaks, but it produces alot of wind noise at highway speeds. It kinda looks like someone tried to break into the car at one point in time, or something. It just bothers me how it looks.

    Imageshacks bein retarded...

I can't really tell from the pic but it looks like it's just not lined up properly.
I remember when I replaced mine, it needed to be streched out and slid down some. this is easy as long as there's no sealant under it.

I would suggest Trying to smooth out the rubber. Try to hold the end closest to the front of the car and slowly push the rubber back into place as you move your hand further towards the back end. Its kind of hard to explain so tonight Ill try and make some diagrams.

Cool. I will have to try this the next chance I get. Been to busy working to get anything done on it... I also have to find a junk yard around here.

Thanks man . It would be really nice to have one near Newark, or Elkton Md, which is close to where I live.
The seal kind of an eyesore, considering how 'mint' the rest of the car is. I think somebody tried to steal it at one point in its life, because I was looking through the records that my grandparents gave me, and it had a paper in there labeled "vandalism" or something like that. I should go back and read through it.

                      Ill find out

Ill try to find out where he lives exactly. I know he goes to dewy beach on the regular. If someone did try to steal it, it would explain the damage to the right side of your drivers window. Let me know if you find out. Ill call him and see if he wants to go on a hunt for cb7 parts. Maybe some one will find me some nice 5th gen 7 spokes.

Cool... I'll probably need one, unless anyone knows how to make it stretch 2 inches?

I had the one lower near the mirror, and I took the mirror off, and inside door panel. And then just pushed/pulled it along the track. It worked well, I hated it and when it was fixed I was happy. It doesn't cause any problems anymore...

I tried to pull it, but after about an inch or so, the seal in the corner decided to come along, so I need to find some way to stretch it. I did make it a little better, but it doesnt meet my expectations

                              After playing with it yesterday:
                              Front:

                              how much I moved it:

Window up: (doesnt look too bad, does it?)

Window down: (not so good now...)
