ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Side mirror installation

I bought the eBay m3 style with the LED's and my mirrors didn't come with any instructions or wiring diagram. Can someone please post up a diagram or something for the power mirror wires?

Why are there only 3 wires (green yellow and white) when there are 4 functions? up/down and left/right

Please let me know....I need to install these mirrors in order to be legal with the local tint laws...2 side mirrors are required if you are going to tint the back window.

Check out ESP engine mount kits for your CB7!!!

Are the wires for the turn signals all there

Or have you tried just wiring it up? See what happens then.

Can anyone guide me in the side mirror removal process? I bought a haynes manual but there is only support for manual mirror removal and installation. I have searched google and cb7tuner in vain. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you to all for your generous responses -- in advance.

You just pop off the cover inside the door opposite the mirror, unplug the power connector, and undo the 3 screws. That's it. Took like 5 minutes to do mine. I can get pics shortly.

Great picks and advice. Just a note... on the first top pick when it says pull towards yourself. Yes, do this it's a metal clip but below are two plastic clips just to hold the buttom down in place. So pull on the top and get that first clip out, then just pull it out, very easy. Don't pull the whole thing or the bottom cuz you could break a clip... that's what I did.

And, duh, but hold the mirror when taking out the screws. They hold it all on there.

              Wow! You guys rock! Thanks!

BTW, I think this should be moved to the DIY section for future reference.

              Moderators?

Eh....the OP was how to install aftermarket mirror(s). It turned into a "How To: Removal of OEM Side Mirror(s)." And im pretty sure thats covered elsewhere.

Id like to know how to wire up the aftermarket mirrors as well. I like my mirrors(eventhough they dont work) but i kinda like the "CF/M3/LED" look....
