ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

GOing to paint my guage needles

Im going to paint my needles, but keeping them in the dash.. How sencitive is the fuel needle?? will I move it just by touching it with a paint brush??

    thanks

The MPH and RPM will move easily. the gas and temp are the ones u should worry about. what color are u goin with. i think red will look tight.

Use a very light coat. Perhaps use a pin to hold the needles in place so they don't move when you touch them (just hold the pin on one side, and direct the pressure that way)

I want to see the final result. I haven't seen anyone paint their needles before

couldn't you remove the dash and tape behind the needles really good with the painters tape and paint them that way so you don't remove them and risk fucking them up ?

i painted mine just a pearl white.

i went to walmart and just bought nail polish and some nail clear coat then just used the brush in very light coats letting it dry. then applied the clear in a couple coats. its hard to really tell the difference but ill run out and snap a couple pics real quick.

but like i said you wanna be real careful not to play with the needles too much and def dont remove them

yea it worked great and it was like 3 bucks for both bottles and then i just gave them to a friend when i was done..

i went with nail polish because its got so many deel colors, i was going to go with a blue but i took the forward lights out on my dash when i did my retrofit and i was looking for something that would reflect better...but you can get very deep car-esc colors going

i would say it do it in 2 parts. Put tape over the needles to hold them down and paint what you can. let it dry for a day or so then tape down the painted parts and paint the un-painted parts, but they may result in un-even paint.....just be super careful.

                        Pics FTW.

i have a couple crappy ones on my phone but they dont show the color difference that much, when i get home from work ill snap a couple and put them up if i dont find them sooner

EDIT: this is the best i got right now, i ran out and took a quick pic. its hard to tell on camera but it looks good in person
