i dont know about those alpine type x....the bass is just nasty bass to me. i honestly like the mtx 7500 subs. the l7 kinda lacks midbass in some music where the mtx is all the way around.

if u want slump id go with the l7.....

2 cvr kicks sounds decent though.

if ur going to get the kicker get the warrenty.

I have one 12in 7500 seris MTX w/ a sledge hamer box and its the best speaker Ive ever had. It sounds like I have 2 12s. Ive been through just bout ever brand.

L7's you talking lots of bass plus you need a good amp with that. Plus L7's blow easy
Alpine's honestly man NAHHHHH!!!!!! not even for components.
If i was you i would go with 2 12" db drive on a ported box with a memphis amp. memphis pr series components. Its a lot cheaper and those db's hit hard. They are 1600rms

Like everyone has been saying, the L7 is mostly for spl and the Type x is for sq...I have had both and still do...Personally I would choose the type x even though I am a bass addict...just because the X sounds better and still hits. IF you want crazy ass bass, get the kicker solo x, a 10" will out thump 3 12's easily ...For sound quality and bass, JL w7. Which ever the case dawg, You would not be dissapointed, they are all good subs...

Ps. Just to let you know, my opinion and recommendation is not based on what others think but from experience. My friend and I currently have top of the line mb quarts subs, Rockford Fosgated T2's, Kicker L7,L5 and the solo x, and jl w7's.

i dunno i got a L7 in my wifes car with a 1000 spl amp and its wangin. Im not sure about the alpines but its tru that Kickers blow easy. I had an L5 and it blew after like 5 months. PEACE

kicker sounds good i have front and back kicker but i heard alot of people tell me MTX thunder are good too even my bro says sound good. i have the same problem with one different brand KICKER or MTX?

why not get some memphis m1's or m3's talk about some subs with balls that sounds good. or diamond d3's. or some of the ultras???? there is a ton of other brands that sound way better and are way louder. not to mention memphis has some of the best warranty's out there.

man just get two 12" db drive and a good amp and you would love the way they hit, cause they hit hard. try it, you wont regret it

i had two alpine type S's and i blew both of them, i've gone to 2 kicker CVR's and i've had them for well over two years with no problem whatsoever, based on my expierience with brands i prefer kicker.
