ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    OEM radio Project

Hi, I kinda liked the idea of having an oem radio (newer one) in the car in place of some flashy thing theieves will try to steal (and its bad here). Im an uber noob at car audio..... ive got tons of q's to ask.

Im looking for something with possibly an Aux input as i do not care for cd's.. but will use CD's if it is impossible. Now ive been looking at some newer accords/civic radios which are quite nice BTW... but they lack the aux for a mp3.... I seen a Civic SE which comes with a Aux CIVIC RADIO

Its a start but i dont like the flashy silver.. might paint it black. I know that the thing wont just hookup so maybe some help as to how to splice and dice to get this thing going

Would this be a step in the right direction to hook it up?

    Radio Wiring Harness

Also I know being a stock radio from a civic its sound quality would be decent.. would a regular deck say from 100-220$ around that range put it to shame?

What about speakers? Im not looking for any thing that will win me a contest but would like some replacement for the ageing ones. I dont listen to allllllot of bass intensive music would i be able to hook up a sub?

Im sorry for all the questions but im a total newb

Sounds like a good i deal. But for the money your gonna spend why dont u just go with an Eclipse deck it has it has the security you need. when you shut your car off a red light will start flashing letting theives know your protected. Im looking to get the Eclipes CD3200.

Dude, would you beleive that in my hood, alll my audio was jacked, so i didnt use my car for about 2 week. In that time i used my lady's accord, with an OEM deck, and i had a Diskman adaptor. A fucking week later, someone broke into her car and stole the Diskman and adaptor!

          W....T.....F.....!!!!!

My point is, if someone really wants what you got, they will get it. Blinkin red flashy light or not.

                Hello,

In my first CB7 a 1990 EX I had an OEM deck that was a tape and CD player combo. It had great sound. I obtained it from my local Honda dealer and I recall it was a bit expensive at the time, like $300. I will want to rock the OEM in my future build CB7 and if I find that deck anywhere I will definitely get it again. Does anyone know the OEM deck I am talking about?

idk if any body still makes them, but mayb you could get a nice stereo that u like, and take a stock stereo apart, and make a cover that makes it look like you only have a stock hu. some company years ago made these and they looked like old shaft style, tape players. they just fit over your good stereo. i knoe theives will take stuff just cuz, but, take your face plate with you, or at least put it in your trunk. and dont drive bumpin yo shit within a mile of were you going. and within the last few turns, see if any body is following you. if they are, dont go home.

You could also try to find an older Eclipse (2-3yrs old) head unit. They look like a stock head unit and have LED's in a few different colors. They are also vastly superior sound-processing wise-good DAC. They also have 5V pre-outs to your amps which is almost unheard of with todays head units. I highly reccomend you do this opposed to putting in a stock unit.

Well the stock unit will be from at least a '02 and up so im thinking it will be decent, im not looking for a competition winning sound remember.. just something i can crank a lil high when im driving by my self

Ive got a factory cd,tapeplayer from an 02 Nissan Xterra, it blends in really well and sounds great,i like the oem look 2,I know a factory 00,02, accord or crv unit will work, ive seen a harness that u can get so you can just plug it in to a 90,93.
