ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Subs

Ok so i have 2 rockford P3's i wanna install in my accord in a sealed box. what would be the best way to face the subs for the best sound. thanks for any help.

I would think you want to face the speakers towards the front of the car, leaving some space between the face of the speaker and the back of the rear seat.

Best thing to do would be to listen to them in different positions and see (rather hear) which direction they sound better at.

It depends on what kind of music....

I have had subs in my car since I was in high school. And I know that all installers say that the should face away from you so you get all of the bass sound. But if your going to listen to heavy metal, rock, punk or anything thats not techno or rap. I say face it forward. I also drive around mostly with my rear seat down so I get that extra ummpfff from my subs. But back in the high school days when I mostly listened to rap, I had them face to the back of the car and I think that carried the lower bass tones better. IMO

Face them towards the back,I have two American bass dx 12s pushed by a AmericanBass 80.1 vhl spl series amp, with the back seat up I just hit a 150.6dbs on the meter. We are tuning the amp and crossover trying to get 152+ out of it.

1,500, next time I go to shop for tune session I'll video it, the trunk is trying to come off, lol. I've to get a bigger alternator now, and another battery or batcap,we had to run a 180amp fuse off the battey for that 80.1 amp. when car is off two bass drops is all I get before it shuts down,I have to keep car running.
