dual speakers

im not very big on audio but i do like my radio to sound decent and i saw two dual 12s in a box with a blue neon glow visible through a clear enclosure at cartoys for 150$, and i was just wondering if anybody has any dual subs and how do you like em cause im seriously considering pickin em up

I don't know about the Walmart situation, they do carry my favorite audio equipment, Pioneer. Anyways, I have 2 12" Duals in my trunk and they sound awesome, not to say that some MTX's or some Kickers wouldn't sound better. But for the price they can't be beat.

well all i have to say about duel is for $150 you could get better speakers than that and they might just last a little longer. and sound a hole lot better! but its all up to you on what kind of audio you want to run!

I installed that very same box in my cuzzin's car an put in a alpine 1000watt amp. There not the best but her's have lasted longer than her kicker MTX 15' did. an it has outplayed many other's. buy 'em

Poor mans choice. I used to have duals , not that great but fine for me until I got a job and went Pioneers.

before you go dropping any money on something, i'd suggest making sure it's actually something you're going to like.
since there are different types of sub boxes, and each type has a different sound.
read something like this, to get familiar with the different types of sub boxes.

my general rule in life is, it's always better to wait a little longer and buy something nice that you love vs something cheap you're going to want to replace before long.

Duals Are good speakers you're not trying to knock down buildings when you're ridin so they will be fine just get a decent amp.

Everything in my ride is Pioneer except for my 12's and the amp that's pushing them, both Dual. I got a sweet deal on the Duals at Best Buy a couple years ago since I knew a dude that worked there, right around that $200 range, can't remember the exact amount right now. That included the box, the 12's and the amp. In most cases the box itself can cost almost the same amount, let alone the subs and amp. I've thought about replacing the subs w/Pioneer subs and switching the amp to Pioneer as well so that everything would be Pioneer, but for now those Duals are hittin! I don't even have the amp turned up more than a 1/4 of the way and don't turn my volume past 20 (out of 32 I think) and that shit still massages my back like a mug!

ewww no!! Dude look into somthing else. Duals are junk. I use to work for a place that sold all types of audio(from home audio to car audio) They were the biggest thing we did returns/replacements/warrantys on. Im telling you they are total shit. If you just want a little something get some 12' pioneer subs. They will sound WAY better then the duals and prob. in the same price range as well.
I mean I know your gonna do what every you want anyways but I seriously recommend you look into something else.

dude, Duals are not good speakers! Dual is actually one of the cheapest bands i know. i would never recommend them, no matter how broke you are!

Definitely do NOT go with dual. i've heard a few of my friends systems with dual subs, and the only thing i can say about them is that they make bass. the quality is terrible.

i have all powerbass speakers, amplifier, and subs in my car and i wouldn't go with anything else. check them out, theyre unheard of but very good.
