ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    US Amps Question??

Hey guys I've been doing some looking and after days I'm stuck...Mostly Because I'm a Nubie at the sterieo stuff.. I've had a couple systems but nothing sound Comp worthy.. Which is what my gool is with my current CB7 prodject...NE Ways..

The set-up in short so far is....

1 RE Audio SX 12' Subwoffer.. (The 2 ohm model I'm guessing)
    - 1000 Watts RMS

1 RE Audio Ported And Tuned BOX (Hope It Fits)

Now For The Amp I Know I Want To Use US AMPS But I Need To Know What One Is Best For My Set-Up...

US Amps MD-1D or US Amps MD-2D????

I talked to my stereo shop, they say it all depends on what you guys want to do,compete or just have a nice system,He says the Us amp 2d or american bass vfl line 80.1 or 100.1 for the re sx sub. For the se he says the same us audio or American would be good choices, the sq line in American bass, us audio it all in what application you want, either ax or md series would work.

Yea there so many good amps out there its hard to say which is the best but I think I'm going to give US Amps a shot...There sposed to be really good...

So the rms on a 2 ohm RE Audio SX 12" Sub is 1000 watts and the US Amps MD-2D rms at 2 ohms is 1000 watts...So it seems to be a good match ??

Is it a dual or a single voice coil 2ohm?

If the sub is a SVC then go with a 2ohm and if it's a DVC then go with a 4ohm and run the voice coils in parallel to achieve a total impedance of 2 ohms.

I think its SVC but im not sure..I'm going to do some searching...

If it is I want the 2 ohm to run 2 ohms off my single amp...Right?

Not a 4 ohm SVC on 1 Amp..

I only want to buy this stuff once...lol

2ohm model FTW. that amp does 1.5-1.7 with proper voltage it would be a killer little single sub setup.....
