ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

As for that head unit, helllll no. Do not get JVC. if you're set on getting something from there now, id say go for this Panasonic one....

As for the speakers you picked out, im not a fan of coaxial, i like components, but they're expensive there unless they got a crazy sale which they don't at the moment.

So just wait, keep looking, just get those subs for now, and act quick because i went to one and the were sold out, and went to another and got the last two.
Woah if I had the money I would definitely get those subs. Not bad!!
Just wondering what is wrong with JVC?

And what's the difference between coaxial and component?

coaxial are the speakers with the tweeter integrated, component are the speakers that have the tweeter separate and include a crossover. Components sound 10X better simply because the frequencies are separated causing less distortion.

and JVC is just low quality. I remember the first head unit i ever bought was a JVC and after a few months it wouldn't eject my CD anymore. And the sound quality just doesn't compare to brands like Pioneer or Alpine (in similar price ranges anyways)

If you use it as a dedicated sub, then it's more than likely going to play some midbass down to sub range. You could use it as a dedicated midbass also, in a 3 way component setup.

Basically it has it's own place, it just depends on the end user what it's going to be used for.
In a two way coaxial setup the tweeter is larger and plays both midrange and high frquencies, thats why you dont see a 1/2" to 3/4" tweeter like those in a component set mounted on those (dont get me wrong there ARE high end brands that do) the 6x9 woofer is for producing the midbass (lower frequencies) MOST 6x9 speakers are internally crossed over to allow cretain frequencies to got to the two areas of the speaker.

Oh and to the OP JVC IS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even 1" tweeters can't play that low, efficiently. The woofer is going to play up to at least 1k-2khz, which is where most of your voice ranges are.

          and x2 jvc is poo

Thanks guys I'll look for component from now on.
What is a good cheap brand that sounds good for speakers, amps, subs?

Is MTX good? I see them everywhere and my friend has some in his Civic with a 1000W Sony Xplod amp, I was almost deaf after I was in that hahaha. Dual 10's dunno how much watts MTX though.
