has anyone ran a pair of wire in their front doors? I would like to install my component crossover in the trunk but i have no tweeter wire ran in the door, and after careful investigation it seems to be a PITA to do.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

naw man I think he meant investigation, like after he investigated it he decided it was a PITA
Your don't seem to post anything constructive. That"s my observation.

Oh to answer the ? If you look at your door you will see A black box in the door jamb that is where you need to run the wire(or at least where the factory wire is run. Or you can drill a hole in the door, grommet and do it that way.Last edited by Stoner51; 07-31-2009, 01:10 PM.

I pulled my speaker wire out the grommet, through the black box containing the wiring, and into the door. It was a PITA, but it makes for a very clean install. You don't even see the wire.Originally posted by sweet91accordif aredy time i need to put something in cb7tuner. you guy need to me a smart ass about and bust on my spelling, gramar and shit like that in so sorry.

Its the same size as the stock wire gromet just above it. So its actually ok.Originally posted by CBRIDE View PostKapone, what happen when the door is closed? does it squeeze the wire?
I like your idea a lot however.
I like the super clean way of doing it like the post above me. But its is super pain in the ass. (honda built the accord very well)
My method is much faster and if you use wire gromet instead of black tape like me, it actually looks a lot beter. I actually ran it in the door through the stock plug. I just cut a small hole very carfully not too cut any of the other wires, and fished it through there...

If your running the wires any way, its beter to just run 2 sets of bigger beter quality wire and just ditch the stock...Originally posted by CBRIDE View Postwell, i only need one tweeter wire in each door. I will re-use the woofer wire thats already there so the hole ill be drilling wont be huge.
but i will tackle this
