ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

another consideration is the reliability, the fold out screens have a lot more moving parts i replace a lot more of those under waranty than double din units. aqlso manufacturers are not puting any focus on flip outs so the ones that are still available are going to be older design all the research these days goes into the double din at this point my store isnt even installing flip outs in most single ding cars instead we are rebuilding dash pannels to allow double din installs.Originally posted by DJ metadelic View Poststill have yet to purchase a unit, but it's on my to-do list. Should have the extra cash soon
..so some people say single DIN with pop up screen, is better. Others prefer double. I just don't know

How did you use the bracket? Is it the one on the bottom with stock radio and black pocket? Or are your brackets mount on the side?Originally posted by my 9t9d View Posti own the p3100 pioneer its the shizznet the features are tight!!! for added protection use ebay i got mine for like 295 with free shipping. and got a 2 year warranty for 50 bucks... and to secure your double din use the stock metal bracket that comes with the car or use a double din kit.... runs like 20 bucks id post pics but my camara got wet...

I have a flip out screen that's nearly ten years old... it still beats the hell out of most stuff on the market today for quality. Only problem is it doesn't have a built in CD player or DVD player, instead it has a 6 disc CD changer as the second DIN unit. And a DVD player under my seat.another consideration is the reliability, the fold out screens have a lot more moving parts i replace a lot more of those under waranty than double din units. aqlso manufacturers are not puting any focus on flip outs so the ones that are still available are going to be older design all the research these days goes into the double din at this point my store isnt even installing flip outs in most single ding cars instead we are rebuilding dash pannels to allow double din installs.
Is it as killer as my Eclipse with 3 sets of 8 volt outputs, and full digital signal processing so you can actually run 5.1 sound with full equalization and time alignment? Oh yah, and an optical input for the DVD player so you can actually get surround sound to your amps? Come on, the JVC is decent but it's far from killeri havent seen my JVC unit get posted.... its killer and i know on the output side of the things it kicks the hell out of alot of others.3 sets of 5v preamps. i can do 5.1 if i wanted to.
