I am looking into a pair of 6.5" MB Quartz PVI 216 component speakers for the doors in my 92 EX coup. At Sonic Electronics they have an option to see if they will fit your car and it said that they would not fit. Do I just need to put a spacer ring behind the speaker to make it fit? If so, I think I will still buy them. I just want to make sure I can make them fit before I make the purchase. I blew the hell out of my Infinities, so all I have now are Infinity 6x9's in the back and 2 10" JBL sub woofers-not the sound I'm looking for.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

MB Quartz PVI 216 won't fit my 92 Accord?

MB Quartz fitting in my car
I have a 92 Accord EX coup. The speakers that are currently in the doors are 6.5" Infinity co-axle Reference Series. I think they said it wouldn't fit do to the component tweeter. I may just purchase another set of co-axle speakers. I will see what MB Quartz has to offer. I'm not a huge fan of ear piercing tweeters anyway.

If you have an Ex you can trash the speaker pods and fit the Lx speaker brackets or just a spacer to install 6.5'sFA1

Wires go from amp to crossover. The crossover should have at least 6 terminals on it. 1 set of terminals is for pos and neg input (from amp). 1 set of terminals is for pos and neg output to woofer (6.5"). 1 set is for tweeter. My MB Quarts have like 10 terminals or more though, they're kinda ridiculous.
