ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    anybody rockin some audiopipe?

Hey everyone im looking to upgrade my amp and I've seen audiopipe amps go for real cheap on ebay and amazon so I was wonderin what y'all think. Im most interested in the 1500d. Itl be running at 2 ohms because that's as low as my subs can go. Actually I can take them down to. 5 ohms but I don't think the ap amp can run that low haha. So yeah any advise on them or what you think of yours if you have one. Thanks!

Actually audiopipe is pretty decent for the money, but you wont get any power out of them at 2 ohms.I've seen people run audiopipes at .5 all day but they had good electrical(big 3 etc).Find a dedicated 2ohm stable amp..

It will work for what you want but theres other amps that are better.....you might need an biger alt for that amp though....thats if it really pushes that much power but i dont think it dose.....id consider lanzer amps there cheap and get very very loud.....better then audiopipe....

Ive never personally owned audiopipe components but i can vouch for them being pretty decent brand. A good friend of mine had a set and they hit pretty good for the price.
Once again its from persoanlly experiencing the sound in person ,

but then again im not a major Bass/music head. Just something that kicks and gives good voice.

I used to always use planet audio as my cheaper audio gear. but they arent what they used to be.

id look into the Audioque 1200D, 50$ish more or so for a hella better amp.

they're very solid, slightly underrated amps, my buddy is pushing a DigiDesigns 3512 with it, sounds great.

Well what about the aq 750? Its 199 free shipping on the aq website. The 1200 is 269 which I a bit much. I know the aq750 says it can do 1000 rms at 1ohm with some distortion. Like 10% thd or something. So should I see some good power at .5 ohms? Im pretty sure it can run that low...

I would run the audioque over the audiopipe. I wouldn't worry about THD in the sub especially in your application. You can get away with 10% if you're just looking for some thump. I wouldn't run it at .5 just for reliability issues.

Well I emailed aq and he said "as long as you're smart about it you should be okay." So im saving for the aq 750 now. Just a lil more cash lol.

Yeah the aq would be a MUCH better choice then the audiopipe, but don't sleep on audiopipe tho..

im running the audiopipe 1500d on my Audioque SCD2.5 10" at 2ohms, sounds amazing. the sub was reconed and built to handle the 1000watts im sending it and it was tuned with an O-scope to have a clean signal sent to the sub.

the guy metered it in my car after we hooked it all up and tuned it, i hit 130 at the windshield which isnt bad out of a 10 in a box with the port firing right into my fender liner.
