ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I got a new CD player (KOSS) and I tought i could install it myself. I cut the wire directly behind my old cassette player and start wire<--->wire connection.
I tought it was good but the CD player don't work.
Can somebody tell me or post me a website off wire<-->wire connection (what color with what color)
I don't want to pay someone to do it :\

umm, you're gonna have to get a wireing harness that goes from the radio to the factory wiring harness, and match up all the colors that way... you can't just cut 1 wire and expect it to work... you have to hook up speaker wires, power wire, ground wire... constant power wire memory wire, maybe some more

hmm, do you have the antenna plugged in?? most aftermarket cd players will not turn on or function at all, unless the antenna, or even a stub is plugged in

Grab a repair manual (if you don't have one), look at the wiring diagrams, and figure out which wire goes where .. . Or, wait a few days, and I'll write them all down when I put my new deck in ...

and solder <---(SPELLING?) your wires or get a good crimp dont just twist and tape them i wouldnt solder to the factory harness though because if you decide to change head units you're going to be cutting and addind and its going to get messy. Why didnt you get the harness plug?

              Check out this site:

Go to www.the12volt.com they have a diagram of vehicle wiring. I would give you the exact page but you must create a user name and password.

stock decks should have the wiring diagram on the top. but hell with a cheap ass $6.99 volt meter or even a test light you can figure out whats what power wise. then just use a small speaker to determine which wires goes to what. thats the simplest way I can think of doing something with limited tools or maybe for first time installers.

Since you already cut it, just get a test light to get power and igntion. Ground should be easy, its black i believe. Speakers are pretty easy too, they are twisted wires. Just get a battery and pop them. Polarity wise, red and blue are positive, gray and brown are negative.

                      Easy huh

On another note koss doesnt make very decent products! especially when you can buy a pioneer or jvc for the same price! IMO
My grandpa bought one and returned it three times till he finally broke down and bought a clarion. And it worked perfect!
