ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

My .02, for like 800, u could get 350(2x) sub, 500 watt amp, those sony speakers(not the best but shit, betta than factory) and any receiver

well if you want to go cheap but still have realllll good bass i would go with the xplode 1300 watt 12s in a ported box.... the subs are only 115 a piece so thats not too bad.... and u would want at least a 600 watt 4 channel amp\

Subwoofer's are powered by mono amps... I personally have two 12" alpine reference subwoofer's with an MTX thunder 3401 amp with infinity reference speakers. i think it's a good setup. not too bassy but it still shakes the car around a little bit.

Congratulations on your new accord. From personal experience i would get an Alpine or Pioneer. Those two brands are great all-around.
                        reality at it's finest.

                          I second this.

I've been into hard core SQ car audio for several years now. These are great affordable brands that perform well.

As for subs. Dont' get bigger subs than you need. You'd be surprized how often people underpower their subs.
If the subs are 400rms/sub, i'd recommend a 1000wrms amp. This is a big amp.
for a first bumping system, you'll be happy with some entry subs, that take a good 175rms+ each (prime example - Jl w0, or w1, rated at 125rms, but with a 400wattrms amp they will be very nice).
Build a properly sized ported box and you will be very happy with some entry subs and around 400-500rms for power.
                          Don't skimp on the amp.
I've seen entry pioneers (rated at 300rms each), off an MTX 1501d (1500rms) that just SLAMMMED. $200 in subs, and $700 for the amp (retail...much cheaper online).

Good luck with your first stereo.
And dont' bother upgrading the stock speakers unless you're going to amp the new ones. Not much gains are made from OEM speakers at 15rms to pioneers @ 15rms. Real quality is seen when you amp the speakers (and filter out the lows on them with a crossover).

                          mark
