ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

the 6x9 pods raise the speaker up above the metal so you should have enough clearance provided your magnet or basket isnt too oversized. And if you do have to cut just dremel out what you need, its really thin back there.

I had an EX and all I did was remove the stock pods from the rear deck, fliped it oper and took out the screws and removed the face. removed the stock speakers and replaced them with Jensen 6x9 200w. the Jensen had 4 mountin holes but only 2 lined up with the stock mounting screws. They were opposite corners so it worked well. put everything back together and was done. Stock look, better sound.

yeah dremel with like a rotary file attachment (metal acorn looking thing, not the sandpaper finger file) you shouldnt need to cut out much. i had to do it for my components due to oversized baskets, i just used a pair of aviation snips, but iwouldnt recommend it cuz it sucks on your hand and you gotta smooth the edges anyways. just use a dremel.

some accords have the 6.5" rear and some 6x9...get speaker pods from an accord with 6x9" and get it done, color the plastic with spray paint whatever color you want, I like to use krylon FUSION, it adheres nicely. 2 coats should do ya

The pods mount the same...no binding or hitting of any kind. I have 6x9's in my LX instead of 6 1/2's. Also, I got a set of the cheapo Lightning speakers from Wal-Mart and they fit ok. Didnt have to modify anything.
