ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Wiring Problems

I currently have two wiring issues:

    1. My positive cable terminal is stripped, the bolt that is. The bolt is totally rounded off and way over tightened to begin with, it is NOT going to come off. Can I just cut the wire right behind the terminal and put a new one on or do I have to buy a whole new wire? I see one part goes to the fuse box, I haven't looked at the other part, is it a bitch to put a new one in?

    2. The lights around my two air control knobs, speed and temperature, don't light up. The cigarette lighter doesn't light up either. Are these just loose wires or dead bulbs? How do I fix them either way?

    Thanks!

    HVAC lights

hey man, re: the lights around your fan speed and temp control knobs...
It's actually called the HVAC controls (heating ventilation air conditioning). the lights are burnt out on my car, too. I took it apart to try to fix it and the task seems impossible so, I priced a new control unit at the dealer nad it was 360 bucks canadian....if i could find one at pick and pull it would be like 10 bucks but they never have a cb7 for more than a day...so, i just use the controls in the dark...whatever
    YEP. I AM Canadian.

The bolt may be stripped- I would use a clamp to grip the bolt as tight as possible and remove it- it is much easier than you think. Once that is done, just buy a new nut and bolt and you are all set. As far as the lighting goes, it could be several things, burnt bulbs or a burnt fuse- have you checked the fuse for interior electrical system (on the drivers side, left near the pedals.
