ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Any way to test amp?

I have this amp that I got from a friend of mine, but he doesn't know how much power it puts out. I tried looking it up on the manufacturer's website, but the amp doesn't have a model number. I was wondering if there was any way I could test it to see how much power it makes?

I'll try to get pictures of it, but there is nothing distinct about this amp.

Pictures would be best, or at least a description of the amp.

Brand, size of amp, 2 channel/4 channel.

          Color, etc.

          Be as detailed as possible.

Google is my friend, and yours too

              800 watt.

2 channel amp is probably about 200x2@4ohms

              400x1@2 ohms

              800x1@1ohm

I doubt its 1ohm stable though.

Whoa I just noticed that amp has ESP also! Badass!

It knows what song you're going to play next and adjusts itself accordingly.

                LOL

The box it's sitting on is a different model amp. The one with ESP is a directed A802.

Close, but that is a 4 channel amp, and the one I have is a 2 channel.

*edit* I see you changed the link. That seems to be it, thanks a lot.

Gotcha, so yeah he got you the right info, I thought it was a 2 channel, my bad.

Thats a speaker amp, so don't go trying to push any subs with it!

My friend told me it was his tweeter amp, so it made me wonder if it could even power my components.

This amp pretty much is for mids and highs. Have fun with it.
