Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    kenwood or polk?

    does anyone have these in their car?
    which one would you recommend?

    I think the kenwood component is better, just more work for you.

      i dont have either but i'd definitely go with polk, kenwoods are a great value and have excellent sound which makes them great on the market but from what i know is that although polks are generally more expensive and not to popular among the best buy stereo crowd, they are outstanding in quality and output. BUT as for a component set like the polk's your looking at i would go with the kenwoods. because i take it your not looking to spend a couple grand on a super quality professional setup. that's just my opinion though

                  i have Polk DB in my car..they sound great the bass is good also...i'd buy them over the kenwood

                    ummm sorry to bust the bubble but u dont want bass from ur compnents.... thats how people blow door speakers and whatnot because ur trying to get a mid driver to do what a subwoofer was made to do. if u get a component system u will be investing in a sub.not to mention 1 badd ass amp or 2 amps u will want for the components and sub

                      i have polks also. i have the crossover for the fronts w/ just mids and highs. but the 6x9s are great and surprising. but quite old. the polk momo 6 1/2 coaxial haven't really impressed me. id take polks over kenwood for sure
