ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Small touches

It's remarkable what a difference a shot of silver paint and a red permanent marker can do to completely transform the look of the gauge cluster while still retaining a factory look.

As with all of the modifications I'm doing to my car, my goal is to not make the car look customized, rather, customize it with OEM parts/accessories and little DIY jobs.

Although a BB6 cluster swap would be awesome, this will more than suffice for the time being.

Never noticed those words under "unleaded fuel only" before.

Looks good Mikey... that's what I'm doing with my spare cluster.

I did my cluster to. My friends em1 has red needles and carbon fiber trim and I always liked so I did it to mine and it looks like a factory option just somthing diffrent than those boring white neddles.

Why spend $10+ on chrome bezels when you can do the same basic effect with paint?

We HAD some chrome spray paint I ws planning to use, but my roommate used it all, so all I had left was some mixed up Solaris Silver from my old SE that I used instead.

And the needles are just red permanent marker.

So that's it, my interior mods are pretty much finished. Prelude wheel, gauge cluster modded and DA head rests.

The rest of the CB interior is just the way I like it....minus having black leather of course.

              Thanks guys.

I also had a couple 194 blue LEDs in the garage, so I popped those in where the 194s fit, and holy crap do they ever look awesome. I am definetly going to convert the rest of the cluster to blue LEDs.

yeah, I love the wheel. One of the first mods I did to the car when I got it. I hate the stock steering wheels.

No. This is the second time I have swapped a Prelude wheel into a car and wired it up and didn't work.

Probably took like an hour to disassemble the dash, the cluster, paint it, put the cluster back together and reassemble the dash.

Taking the cluster apart is simple and nothing to be scared of. Just undo a bunch of screws, things come apart in layers and it's pretty straight forward. Give 'er a shot on a sunny afternoon.

$10+ I wish the only ones I found were 60+ cad from the UK, but there nice set made out of polish aluminum. If you want to do the led convertion let me know I'll give you the link for the guy I bought from on eBay 20 3mm blue flat top LEDs and resistors for less then $6 shipped did all my switches and dash well worth the work.
