ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Nice ride. Those alloy 7-spokes and the mesh front grille w/ badge is a really nice setup ngl.

the clear corners are nice on a black car. I don't think my tan 91 would look good in them though, I like the orange markers.

couple updates, the heat is back and so is my motivation to work on the accord. i also now have a 2nd car, a 96 mustang gt 5spd vert. the accord needs a bunch of stuff so for now the mustang is on daily/work truck duty and the accord sits pretty while i try to find time to work on it.

i got a set of enkei j10s 17x7 off fb market for it, the 5g wheels i had on it rubbed around all the time. when i googled, the offset on my 5g wheels was like 30mm too negative, these have much better fitment buttttt im still rubbing on the left >_> its only the left side, but my right fender liner doesnt exist. i pulled a new one from a jy accord the other day, will install it eventually but ive got other higher priorities atm.

rust repair is next on the chopping block, my subframe has been starting to rust out since i got the car but it didnt get structurally rusty until recently, i already have a less rusty subframe i pulled back when i got the car but never got around to cleaning up the rust. gonna get that cleaned up and get to work on the quarter panel rust as well.

painting is a big idea on the plate right now as well, the mustang has stolen the accord's garage spot and the already fading paint is really starting to show its age. the hood and trunk especially are getting there, wanna get to it sooner than later especially now that it's warm. i dont have a spot to properly paint the whole car atm, so it will get done bit by bit. i have a spoiler i also pulled from the jy, its primed atm waiting for me to wetsand and paint.

the only thing im uncertain about is what paint to use on it, not just the spoiler but the whole car. my cheap ass instincts want me to paint the spoiler with some cheap rustoleum black metallic paint or smth, but that wouldnt match very well at all and i dont trust rustoleum paint for the whole car lol. I'm thinking of getting some phantom grey paint for the car, just a matter of where to get it and how to use it at that point. i havnt looked too much into it yet, but i dont have power in my garage or a way to get power to it so an air compressor seems off the table. idk tho ill figure it out.

accord got a new exhaust yesterday as well, he was leaking from absolutely everywhere lol. sounds much better now. before the accord, my only car was a corolla with basically open headers cus cat rusted off (not stolen), even the mustang's exhaust leaks a bunch so i forgot that cars sometimes dont blow out your eardrums lmao. he got a front lip from a 91 coupe i found at the jy, seems misaligned a little so idk if thats cus of the different front bumpers or just normal.

heres some recent pics of him, as well as a couple of the stang.

          New exhaust noises

Nice subtle touches. Hopefully you can get to that rust soon. That stuff can spread fast!

              ty

got started on that rust tonight, really only just got started going at it with the orbital sander and 80 grit tho. i took it to the car wash near my place to use my sander and forgot my metal wire brush >_> didnt have time to go back so im just gonna finish it another day when i've got time. i covered the stuff i sanded down with some rust converter for the time being so the bare metal isnt exposed
