Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    i know its no honda but ive been looking into getting an accord so here is my car now...

    I like VW

    They make some really great cars too. My dad drives a 2002 Jetta no mods but, we are working on that. I love those rims. Before I bought my Accord I wanted a Golf. Those R32's are sweet.

        TurboGolfKid --- I had one for a while, same color but an '01 I bought new. Sold it at 60K to get an Odyssey. Lost my ass on the sale. And then lost my ass on the Odyssey sale, nevermind.

        When I got it I really thought I'd hit the Big Time --- the refinement and feel is just in another league compared to many Japanese cars. Of course, various light bulbs died young due to the dumb design of the bulbs with those little wires as contacts. Hated the "mouse fur" fabric and cursed VW for not making leather (and the Jetta's 3-spoke wheel, and ...) optional.

        A few years later I test drove the then-new Mazda3 hatch. My first reaction was that the interior, with the window switch layout and other features like seat height adjustment, was a copy of the VW ideas. But none of the controls had the quality feel that the VW had.

        I didn't keep mine long enough to mod it but at the time recall that a $500 or so ECU flash gained you about 30HP. Perhaps your Revo is similar? It's funny that in just a few years VW decided to just do it themselves and give them 180hp stock.

        I'd be curious to know how yours has held up. I miss the turbo torque, although yours is no doubt a stronger push.

        I see today's 2.5L 5cyl makes power on paper similar to the old 1.8T although of course it's not as tunable.

        But when I read that comparison story, I kept thinking, "Where were you guys 5 or more years ago when the GLS 1.8T was available??"

          I have a friend that has a VW GTI just like yours its the 20th anniversary edition production number zero how he managed to get that is beyond me but it was the car in all the commercials and in VW's car shows

            this guy is from a local board im on called lexistreets, and i think we like each others cars so much that we need to do a photoshoot together.
