ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

so what kind of mods are you going to do to the accord? a lot of people will probably suggest the basics like I/H/E.

Welcome, I like the rims on your s13. What all is done to it? I see rims, a roll bar, and it's lowered, I'm guessing the brakes have been upgraded and performance mods, am I close? And do you you have the "sleepy eye" headlight mod?

Welcome! There's no thread for it, but people get ignored there anyway. This is better!

Every time I see an S chassis for sale, I want to pick it up. Even the S12. I've only had one RWD car since I cared about cars, and that was a Volvo 940 GL. Non-turbo, automatic... not very fun. I'm dying to get a RWD something though!

The CB7 is fun for a FWD car though. It's balanced, and not as dinky as a Civic. It has a TON of potential! You can't really drift it, but otherwise, it's a blast

Motor swap... We didn't get the CA18DET here. We didn't get ANY turbo S chassis Nissans except the very-uncommon 200sx turbo (S12)

I don't know a whole lot about Nissan engine codes, or whatever you call them lol. Pretty much just know the SR, RB, and I tend to forget about the CA. But now that you mention it I guess the CA doesn't sound stock, especially since it's not. And I never knew that we never got any turbo S chassises (sp?)

It's a very uncommon thing here. The 200sx wasn't very popular in its day anyway. Shame, I like em!

There's one. Modified, but well done.

Now, when I was looking into an S12 myself, I was told that the SR20DET wouldn't go in easily. The S12 has the CA18DET, which I assume is closely related to the CA18DET found in theS13. Interesting...

The SE model of the S12 also came with the VG30E, which was the older NA Z31 300zx engine. That means the turbo varieties, possibly even the VG30DETT in the Z32 300zx would be an easy swap. Screw an H22.. RWD 300hp turbo V6 swap!

Thanks! yeha the S12 is awsome and it did come in a CA18ET USDM (single cam) but white or black only in limited production run. I would LOVE to get my hands on a 200sx coupe but thats like finding a BMW 2002 in good shape. They look just like the older 2 door hatch accord

I thought the CA18ET was the US motor, but I came across something that said that was the European spec, and we got the DET... I should've realized that Nissan never gives us the good stuff here! I've never seen one of the non-hatchback 200sx models in person, just in pictures. You're right, they look like 3rd gen Accords (as do the hatchbacks... kinda messed with my idea of using 240sx parts to make my 86 Accord RWD... I could buy a 200sx and have that with no welding!)

The mods on your 240 look good. How much power do you make with that setup?

As for the CB7, you'll be pleased with the handling. I've talked to a few S13/Accord owners, and they say the Accord suspension is superior. If you want a simple spring/strut drop, look into Neuspeed Race springs and Koni Yellow struts. I have H&R Race and Koni Yellows... similar... The drop is about 2", and the Konis are fantastic in terms of adjustability! A Neuspeed front strut bar is the best you can get, though Megan Racing makes some very affordable ones that work well. Sway bars are good, but you'd need to research what you want from the car a bit. I think there are many people that say the rear sway bar upgrade adds too much understeer. I have yet to do those upgrades, so I can't say.

If you want to make a little more power, look up my thread on making 30+hp for $500 or less. It's here in the Beginner Technical/Performance forum.

Nice! That's what I was wanting to do with my second s13, but just ended up slapping a turbo on the KA24DE.

I love s13's, and I hope to get another one some day! Welcome to CB7Tuner!

I thought rear sways helped eliminate understeer? Well, I guess I need to do some more research before I buy.

Yeah, I've heard conflicting reports. I'll probably pick up a front and rear set, see how I like it... If I don't like something, I'll just sell it

I guess you can put it that way. I just think of it as a stiffening of the rear end. Usually when I think understeer I think the front of the car so yea. But a bigger bar will give you an oversteering effect which suits some peoples driving style. As for the front on fwd putting on a bigger bar can cause either more understeer or solve the balance between the front and rear. Again all this depends on the driver and what the cars purpose is.
