ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

My name is Wayne and I drive a 90 honda prelude, the cousin of the cb7. I put a lot of work and time into it and dont want to keep driving it as a daily driver. I joined this site because I am looking to build an accord and want to learn all that I can. I haven't found a good starter car yet but I am looking. The finished project will be a sleeper looking accord with an H22, A/C and P/S. If anyone has a car they would like to go to a good home in Phoenix AZ. let me know.

The 3rd gen Prelude is actually the cousin to the CA Accord... but welcome anyway!

I keep hearing about H22s in 3rd gen Preludes, but I have yet to see one done. I'm looking forward to seeing your completed project!

        Welcome

Ive always had an eye for the 3G ludes. Liked the newer Si models with the Red/White tail lights.

I think the only downfall is that all but the Si are carb'd. But i may be wrong. GL with future plans/mods.

          :EDIT:

The 90 Si came with a B21A rated at 150hp.

That and the B20A. We got the A5(135hp) but europe got the A7(150hp).

          Good Stuff.

"In 1987, Road & Track published a test summary that shows the 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0Si 4WS out slalomed every car of that year, including all Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches. It went through the slalom at 65.5 mph (105.4 km/h), an amazing result for the time. For reference, the 1988 Corvette took the same course at 64.9 mph (104.4 km/h).

The Prelude was Wheels magazine's Car of the Year for 1987."

                  Sweet!

So why the hell do you want to go with an H22 after a setup like that!? Does the H22 head flow that much better than the B21 head? (I know the A20A, the 3rd gen Accord engine, doesn't flow very well... I'm boosting one of those this summer)

Well the prelude is about 90% done. I am doing 4ws set up next, brakes, methanol and finally painting it. I am not swapping the H22 in the lude, but to answer your question yes the h22 does flow a lot better than the b20 I have now. I want to put an H22 in an accord for my daily driving needs. For reference, I am running 20psi on the b20 and thats only making 300-325whp. On the H22 that would be high 500whp same boost level.

Ah, ok. Whew. I was gonna say...

And wow... that much of a difference? Man... I wish it wasn't such a pain to put an H22 into a 3rd gen Accord. I'll have a spare once I build the one for my CB7.

As it is, that Prelude is beautiful. I can't wait to see it at 100%

The H22 in a CB7 is really nice. IMO, it feels like it was meant for the car. Not "fast", but still really fun to drive.
