ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hey guys!

Hey guys, I've been roaming this site for about 8 months now and I finally decided to become member. I have had relationship with Accords since I could walk. Many of my family members had one and they're still in the family. This site has helped me find out how great these cars are and because of CB7tuner.com I decided that my first car (which i should be getting in under a year) would be a CB. Before I get one though, I thought I would inform myself with CB7tuner members. I would really like to know why, according to you guys, a CB7 is a good car and also what it's faults are. Any replies are appreciated

    Thanks,

    renato902

First off, welcome to the forum!

Glad another lurker decided to finally sign up .. I swear, we have more lurkers then members!
Thats alright tho, maybe one day they'll see the light as you did and follow it ..

In terms of "faults" keep in mind these cars are ooolld .. you know .. like me .. heheh ..
So with that being said, it's like anythng else that you buy *pre-owned*.
Just make sure that you give your future purchase a good going over before dishing out the cash.

The upside is that their super easy to work on, and parts are still available from everywhere.
Ebay is a popular resource specially for those jdm pieces, and Honda still has parts galore.
Albeit the stealership is quite expensive, nonetheless, they'll have whats needed.

Once again welcome to the greatest CB7 site in cyberspace ..
May your new *used* CB7 be the car you hope it is ..
Post often, and post alot! ..

    A Hui Hou !!!

      Pros:

thx so much guys.. remeber im for montreal, quebec and its very snowy in winter over here.. they salt the road to prevent freezing and it kills our cars.. nonetheless i have found some very clean cb's here and i rlly cant wait to get one.. its funny because here it's either you find an extremely mint one or a rlly dead one.. but all in all.. it looks like a rlly nice car to have... all i plan to do to one is add an rs*r exhaust a hks intake system and maybe throw in a h22

btw.. what was the insurance cost for you guys.. im sixteen going on seventeen .. are they commonly stolen cars..??

The 1991 Honda Accord was the 2nd most stolen vehicle in the states last year.
I don't know about Canada though.

                welcome to the site!

as a couple others said, the CB is a great car. it was my first car, and i've had it for 2 years now and it's doing fine.

but yes, the most common problem for these is the rust around the read wheel wells. it can really eat away fast at the car. my suggestion is to search for one with a decent body, even if it has higher KM's on it. these engines are really cheap and easy to come by, so you can get one for cheap and drop it in.

and insurance is also quite high up here. i live in Ontario though, so i pay out the ass for insurance because i'm young and i'm a guy. it should hopefully be a bit cheaper up there for you though.
