ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    2 Down, None to Go

If you followed my last thread, you probably saw my journey of buying a new accord, not liking it, and selling it. That was about a month ago.

And it pains me to say as of this morning, I sold the phantom as well

I have a pit in my stomach and i already miss it. But I will get over it i guess...

So as of now, i have no car.. no more honda's as of right now.

Im trying to figure out what i want next.

Ill stick around here still... dont worry.

Sad to hear you sold them both already.
Anything in mind on what you want next?
You sticking with the "import scene", or are you going to luxuries, suvs, etc?

not sure yet.. i've come to realize that imports take up a lot of time and money.. i dont know if im willing to drop 6+ grand into a car, again, and get nothing back for it when i sell it....

          BUT ....

i would absolutely kill for an MR2.. second gen.. i would do horrible things to have one.. unforgivable things. But theyre impossible to find...

so i dont know what i want.. my opinion changes everyday... all i know is that i cant daily my motorcycle, its like 34 degrees in the morning here....

i gotta figure something out.. suggestions?!

            What are you looking for?

Stock power? Reliability? Efficiency? Comfort? Looks? Handling? Aftermarket options?

How much would you like to drop into it? When getting a used car, if you have 6k on hand, spend no more than 4k, and plan on using the other 2k to fix any problems that arise. ALL used cars have problems... a clever seller will be able to hide them long enough to sell the car, though (and any car that seems like a steal may just have problems well hidden!)

For 4 grand, you could find an NA MR2 in decent shape. You could find a good E30 BMW, or a fair E36. Great potential, but if you thought the Hondas were expensive to fix...

Not many cars will be cheaper to fix than the CB7. The CB7 is very reliable, parts are abundant, and they're standard grocery-getter parts, not performance parts (like you'll find on the MR2). If you thought the CB7 was expensive to fix, then you're probably going to want to reconsider owning a car at all. That, or just buy new and cherish the warranty. You could get a Hyundai Accent for very little.

i found a 1993 Cadillac Deville for $1400 ... 109k original miles, everything works... its going to be a gas guzzler, but at the same time - I'll be ridding in luxury ! woo!

i know its very far from a tuner car... but something came up, and my budget is down to $2,000. (Had to help my parents out with some bills) So my options arent very wide... but from what i read, cadillacs are extremely reliable.. especially before northstar was introduced...

lol here comes the flame fest im sure.
