i traded for my cb about 3 weeks ago an i got a title with the car that has not been sent off for like 4 years an the persons name that is on the title lives mo were near me an dont know me ..... an my buddy that i got the car from never took it out of her name cause he just let i sit an never sent it off.... so i was j/w what yall think i should try an do bout the car to put it on the road or if any of yall have ever had this happen to you ...... if u know any info plz help me ....... or im just thinking bout sellin the car as a parts car.... any info could help thanks

i did an they said that i would need to do a lost title .... but the thing is that the person that it in the name of lives like 6 hrs from me an all ... an i thin that she has to be there to get everthing done an i dont think that shell come to help an i dont even know the lady lol .... so i mite just sell it as a runing parts car with no title if someone will buy it like that ..... an if not itll go to the jy

hmm.. well i just asked a few of my buddies and they told me the other person doesnt ahve to be there if you file for a missing title "lost title".. gotta do it at a dmv though.. and then you will be able to drive it

My brother filed a lost title for his maxima and the lady at the dmv said to just have the last owner fill out a form and sign it. The previous owner doesn't have to be there just get a hold of them by any means possible and tell them that you need their help with the cars title I'm sure they'll be happy to comply.
