ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Looking for a 89 accord coupe LXi 5spd

Well i have a cb7 which is my keeper till i die! But i have had an eye on the 89 accord coupe LXi. Which are hard to find well im having a hard time finding one. Does anybody here have one that can share there opinion on it? Id really appreciate responds. If i ever get my hands on one i would swap the engine to a JDM B20A.

I hope this isn't a "looking to buy" thread.

The rear end isn't too different but I personally don't like the '89 front end! I don't like how the headlights go up and down! I like the newer style better!

Yeah, I have an 86 LXi hatch. Less than 130k on it... but the engine needs to be replaced. I have a fully rebuilt engine with lower compression pistons waiting to go in... just need to do it (this month, or I'm going to jail... )

They're nice cars. Much different feeling than the CB, really. Like a step between CB and Civic.

The JDM B20A is VERY difficult to find anymore! Only the Accord motor works. The Prelude motor won't mount properly (even though it's very similar otherwise)
It's a shame... the B series mount kits (the Civic and Teg B series, not the one mentioned above) aren't readily available anymore, and the H/F motors won't fit without MAJOR modification (rear crossmember is in the way). The A20A is a solid motor, but it doesn't have all that much performance potential. It's a fairly restrictive design compared to the F22A. Mine will be turbo. Iron block FTW!

The hatch is by far my favorite... I wish they continued that design into the CB body style. The CB9 is cool as hell, but I could go for a CB hatch too!

Someone did a CB front end on a 3rd gen hatch... it looked hot.

Well i have always looked at them since i bought my first cb7. I would like to have like a modern type accord and a old school accord. Since i really dont see them tuned at all.
