ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Dumb mistakes that my car suffers for

I hate those stupid little things I do (or forget to do) that could seriously threaten the lfe of my engine. They dont happen very often, because Im a pretty meticulous person. But sometimes I dont pay attention.

So, the other day I was painting my valve cover and oil cap. I had a spare valve cover that I could paint and let the paint cure over a few days during the priming/painting process but I didnt have a spare oil cap so I took mine off thinking that when I went to drive my car again I'll just screw it back on. Well, needless to say I left the house without my oil cap and noticed it smoking like hell a few miles down the road. No oil cap=engine bay mess. Im so retarded. Luckily I didnt go very far.

Its things like this that make me wanna apologize to my car like its a person. Poor thing.

You see models at every car show.
But have you ever seen a model that actually takes the car she built to a show?

Glad to hear you caught it in time .. but it took your baby to let you know about it.
As I'm sure you could've driven for miles and miles before complete and utter destruction!

Now then .. get out the buffing wheel, and all the cleaning material that you can gather,
and get to work on her .. then, when you're done with that .. give her a big hug ..
Oh and also .. go and give her a nice oil change .. filter included .. the good shit too.

    Maybe ... she'll forgive you ..

I've done this before lol. I couldn't figure out why the engine sounded so much louder all of a sudden and then a few miles later I stopped at my brother's house and found out what I had done lol. Luckily there wasn't much of a mess and not too much oil had come out. Shit happens. At least you didn't find out by your oil light comming on and then your motor blwoing to pieces.

I overtightened a sparkplug (maybe two) in an effort to "index"... for a gain of maybe 1hp. I damaged the threads. Now my plugs have a tendency to back out of the holes.

white car i had. tranny went out so i swapped in a new one off a 93. in the mean time i had a fight with mom so i told her i'm moving out! the day after i finished my car i drove from st louis to cleveland. yeah don't forget the cotter pin in the lowerball joint lol. my passenger side balljoint popped out in Indy lol.

week lager witha bad tire that was dragged fromt he busted ball joint i kept on driving it with a horriable steering shake, which made my cv joint pop out of the tranny.

a year later i ran out of oil to my stupidity. oil light came on and i pulled over dumped in two quarts and drove on to work. yeah forgot myoil cap and the light came on again! and a messy enginebay lol.

that was a rough year, for me. but dispite how bad i treated my cb she still chugged on to past 322,000 miles!

As long as you address your mistakes properly, these cars are damn near invincable lol.
