ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    CB officially retired....

Well guys, not very active on the forum here, but i thought I would share my story. About three weeks ago I found out the CB's headgasket was going bad, and the shop said it would be $1000 to fix it, along with the other problems I would've sunk 2 grand in it to make it run right, so I cut my losses and bought another car. Its a 1994 Mustang, 3.8 liter, pulls pretty nice, and runs better than my Honda. i will miss the Accord once its gone, it was my first car and put every cent I had into it, but the new car is another project for some fun. Eventually the mustang will be supercharged with a built motor. Enjoy!

well that was a down grade. you should have came to us before you took it to the shop man. $50-60 in tools and you would have had that done in a day.

Those rims remind me of the RSX rims. Looks like an older divorced woman's car.

              Mustangs are for the ***.
What a terrible choice you made. IMO.
But good luck. Maybe grow a mullet or something.

shop told my wife $2250 for the tranny in her Elantra, I got it done for $850 total.

and the 3.8 Ford V6's aren't that great for doing performance work to. get a 4.6 OR go oldschool and swap in a 5.0 built from the ground up

I have a friend that's a total Mustang enthusiast. He used to own a 3.8. Even he admits that it's a total garbage engine. I'm not a fan of the color, and it looks lifted... But at least it's clean. It's rare to find such an old Mustang that doesn't look like crap.

The good thing is, it's a terrible performer... so it probably wasn't beat on. It might just be reliable.
