So a buddy of mine graced me with this web site, so i checked it out n stuff, found a motor that i want (f20b) for under 650 bucks with shipping. How legit is this web site? Has any one bought anything off from that site? Any help would be awesome.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Do you want an engine that works, or do you want a $650 piece of scrap metal? You're taking a risk buying from them. I wouldn't trust anyplace other than www.hmotorsonline.com. They are by far the best and most reliable... which is very important these days, as the engines are getting pretty old.
If you live in the US, I don't suggest buying from a company that isn't based in the US (I believe that company is based in Canada). If you have an issue, all you can go on is their honor to make things right. It will be far too expensive to pursue any sort of legal action internationally to recover your money.

There are places just as cheap in the US, and within driving distance for us northeast guys so you can check it out in person to make sure you are getting a good engine. However buying from a reputable company such as hmotors is a good idea, since these are 15 year old used engines.Last edited by Accrdwgnguy; 08-17-2010, 09:08 PM.

i totally agree with you. especially with all the horror stories about TJ. it does seem to be considerably cheaper from TJ but the old saying is true you really do get what you pay for.

I just hate the phone, and the man doesn't answer emails! Plus, I don't know what I'd want to arrange... if he's smart, he knows I already drive as much business to him as I possibly can, because his business truly IS the best... so promising more traffic for a discount might not be useful! Of course, that discount might draw more traffic... I'll have to see.
Unfortunately, I work my ass off... like 80 hours a week. If I get a day off, it's Monday... and you do NOT call HMO on Monday!

i hate the phone too. been dodging my dad's calls for like 6 weeks. no reason other than it will be an hour long call and i will hang up with a headache from all the damn radiation.
he might want to buy some add space, you never know. shit if i were you i would take some time at work and make the call. well if you can of course. well if you are willing to give him free advertising then you know his business is top notch.
shit if i was working 80 hours a week i would be getting FUCKIN PAID!!!! but i have been out of work for like 9 months+. but my number is coming up

An engine is an engine... some places source them from questionable places, and don't thoroughly check them. Tiger is one of those places. You might get lucky, or you might get garbage. If you get garbage, you can't even sue them, because they're in Canada.
I've slept with a slut and didn't get an STD... but I'm not stupid enough to suggest that someone else should take the same risk.
