ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Just saying hello from Iowa

I am new to the site and just thought that I would say hello. I am new to the site but not new to hondas. I have been workin on them for a few years but my passion is restoring cars. That is what I do for work. Well that is enough about me. I just purchased a 1991 accord ex coupe. It had a bad engine and an auto trans. I am puttin a different engine and manual trans in it this weekend. When I bought it it came with a four door without a title. I have been looking around on here for a week and I thought it was time to join up. I look forward to hearing from you all and hope to learn a bunch.

I was going to post some up this weekend. There is no room our shop for my car to be sitting there, so its sittin at my parents house. I only go home on the weekends. Its in ok shape. Its really too bad about the four door though. It was stolen and the cops found it. It got towed to a yard and a buddy of mine picked it up to use for parts on the two door. The four door is in really good shape. I felt bad about rippin it apart.

Welcome to the site man. You should totally write up a DIY(do it yourself) thread on how to do the auto to manual swap and the materials/parts/tools needed for it. I know i personally would be Eternally Grateful as I would too like to do the manual swap

You will love it here just read the stickies and the rules and you will be fine. Everyone *usually* will lend you a helping hand no matter the question unless it is in the stickies. *hence reading them*

Other than that get some pics up to show your ride!
          Welcome aboard.

Thanks a lot guys. I think that there is a write up already. That is actually how I found you guys. My buddy was going to do the swap then decided to do something else. As far as my car goes. I think it is silver, maybe bronze. It has rust around the rear wheels so I will be fixing it in the next few weeks and painting it a different color. The interior is burgandy. The four door is like a dark blue with tan interior, and a black dash. Both dashes are like brand new. No cracks or fades. I figured while I was doing a bunch of swap stuff I figured i would put the black dash in while I put a new heater core in it. As for the rest of the interior I havent decided yet. The engine is gettin the usual. Water pump, belts, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, brakes, clutch, thermostat, and Im sure there is some other stuff

              Welcome!

So is a restoration in the cards for the Accord, or just a bit of a reconditioning/clean up?

Well the plan for right now is getting it running and get the rust fixed. I will be painting it a different color. I have no idea what color yet though. I do have some plans for it though. I sold my civic to pay for this car, so I am borrowing a car from my parents right now. As far as painting it and fixing the rust it should only take a long weekend. A couple good friends and a few beers. I probably will be puttin a h23 in it this next winter. Lower it a little bit. nothin crazy though. Shave and tuck the engine bay. I am doing that to a 93 del sol right now
