ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Wow, that's pristine. I like the 5 Speed emblem.
On another note, the Texas Classic plates are nice.
Such a shame that interior maroon. Honestly, I don't think the 81 Accord is much of a looker, or a car I'd even pay any attention to, other than the fact that it's an old Honda that you never see.
I could think of many better things to spend $3500 on. Such as my car. lol

Your buying the FEELING (and all the many intrinsic qualities) of owning, driving, smelling, hearing, feeling, llooking at it etc.
Like any car, even a classic mustang, classic laborghini countach they are all superseeded. You cannot and should not compare them with newer cheaper cars in comfort quietness performance etc.
Reasons why classics cars are still around (either owned by mulitimillionaires or normal people).
Bear in mind opportunities dont come all the time (old cars - recognised classics or not - in conditions you would like them to be are seldomly available).
Think hard and long if you want it (Snooze and you lose if you change your mind).Rides:

If you are saying they are practical are you then implying my advise (me included) is impractical?Originally posted by HondaB18 View Postyou are wasting your time explaining to people who are more "practical" with their money
Practicality with money is dependant on how much you have to cover your needs and wants (to give you the most satisfaction in life).
Not everyone here is in the verge of poverty.
I think you better think your comments through before posting another.Last edited by JDMDriver; 04-07-2012, 10:55 PM.Rides:

no... is my comment so hard to understand that it was agreeing with you? i had to have 2 different people read it just to confirm that its not meOriginally posted by JDMDriver View PostIf you are saying they are practical are you then implying my advise (me included) is impractical?

practicality with money is buying things you need, wants have nothing to do with it. didn't mention anything about poverty...
if i choose to be practical i wouldn't be wasting 2g+ every month for fun things. the latest purchase thread can easily confirm this

Obviously your comment could be interpreted another way hence why I was seeking clarrification.Originally posted by HondaB18 View Postno... is my comment so hard to understand that it was agreeing with you? i had to have 2 different people read it just to confirm that its not me
I dont believe my previous comment on this 1981 accord is a waste of time. It is a given that not every thread or comment will be for them. It is given to those 'few' that may find it relevant.
I did it to provide a different train of thought to the previous comments condemning the car or its purchase (and perhaps find this vehicle a new and appreciative home).
Our interpretation of "practicality" differs as my interpretation also covers wants (if acquiring it is practical on the situation).Originally posted by HondaB18 View Postpracticality with money is buying things you need, wants have nothing to do with it. didn't mention anything about poverty...

A normal person may have all his/her basic needs covered and be going to a camping trip by choice "for fun". It is then "practical" for them to spend on relevant equipment eg. sleeping bag, insect repellant etc to make that experience possible rather than a back up car head light.
If we are on agreeance then no problem.Rides:
