Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Inconsistent Problems with the CB

    Do you guys suffer from them?

    My 2 problems:

    1) Car won't stay on sometimes. Replaced the fuel filter and the weather led me to believe it was the main relay. Bought the $70 main relay and by the time I got it, problem stopped.

    2) More recently, my transmission is finally starting to get worn out. Sometimes I get a solid S light a few minutes after starting the car, and I lose 1st gear, sometimes 2nd. Other times it won't come on at all and the tranny will shift fine. Other times it comes on after a while of driving and at any time will turn off by itself and return my 1st gear.

    I would have absolutely no problem if these problems were consistent because then I could justify fixing them, but since they're not I'm just dealing with it.

    Anyone else have problems like this?

    Any check engine lights? Check your plugs check your fuel pressure regulator for clogs or leaks in the orings if you smelled a foul smell.

    Just because it cuts out on you sometimes it doesnt always have to be the relay or the filter have you even bothered to replace the fuelpump? I think you could start there. Anyways goodluck and keep us posted

      If it won't stay on have you checked your IACV or FITV? How about your cat every replace that?

        No to every thing haha. Have not bothered since the car should be gone by the end of the month.

        I've heard what a pain the fuel pump is but I know fixing that would take care of my weird gas needle too.

        Thread isn't really about my problems, more of me being curious if anyone else has issues like this. I just gave my examples. I appreciate the help though.
