ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    New to CB7Tuner!

Hey guys! My name is Dalton, I am 19 from Southern California and I am new to CB7tuner.com. I recently bought my CB7 in September of '12 from my parents for $700. The car originally belonged to my sister and it had been in an accident. With a new bumper, a front headlight, and new passenger fender it runs well. The engine is leaking a fair amount of oil at 180k miles. I love this car and have big plans for it. I already installed a sound system for christmas and next on the list is saving for an H22 motor.
Here are some pics of my car!

    Welcome!

Your car has tons o' potential, but don't take my word for it, shop the site for information/modifications/basic maintenance and trouble shooting/etc. There's lots of it.

There's a link for new people to read that Lady G created (I think it was her). I can't find it at present, but it's a good read for new folks.

EDIT: Ahhh, here you go. A simple search under her posts, and voila: Are You New To This Site?

I'm not suggesting that it's in a state of disrepair, however, don't be so quick to jump on the "wants" of modifying a car. Take some time to apply special attention to maintenance items and the brakes/suspension. Establish a good, solid base from which to modify and your results will be that much better when you begin to make changes. Trust me, anyone intelligent on this site will tell you the same thing.

Have fun on the site and be sure to search and read as often as you can. We don't hate answering questions at all, but in the 9-1/2 years this site has been around many topics have been covered quite frequently.

The car is in fair shape cosmetically... so I'd DEFNITELY start spending some money doing a proper (OEM) suspension and brake refresh. Get some good tires on that thing. Do a full engine tune up, and change all fluids with proper stuff (Honda fluids are always best, especially in the transmission.)

            THEN worry about modifications.

is the actual bumper pushed down? or was it just not alligned correctly? if its just not alligned its really easy to do. only 2 washer nuts in the engine bay and 4 bolts, 2 behind each bumper light.

then i see my baby, suddenly I'm not crazy,
It all makes sense when i look into her eyes

The accident the car was in before I purchased it caused the whole bumper to come off. My dad and I were the ones that put the new fender/bumper on so it is possible it is not aligned right on it. It is probably the biggest thing that bugs me about the car besides the oil leak. It doesn't look like any sort of frame damage though does it?

Nobody could even begin to guess at frame damage just by looking at those pictures. Crawl under and see what's bent.

here you go this might help
                    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=959

i would try removing the bolts andloosen up the 2 nuts, then pull the bumper up and in and tighten the 2 nuts inside the engine bay up first, then do the 4 bolts.

Thanks Quashish for the thread link! I can already find it very helpful. I'm gonna work on this when I get the time and I'll post new pictures of the result.
