ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I read all though this post and you all listed what most commonly "dumb" questions are asked...he wants to know what "question" is asked the most.
I think without a doubt it is "how do I find out what's wrong with my..."
Maybe it also falls under dumb cause they didn't use search before asking. Then there are the ones that ask, are given a few tips on how to fix, and then flat out refuse to accept your diagnosis. How many times can the question "My window won't go up or down...what's wrong" be asked! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE ANSWERED? Bet a search would turn up a page of it.

I think on this site we forget there is no such thing as stupid questions, just people who don't proceed they're question with cb7 tuner in the google search bar.

I agree. There are no stupid questions. We just have to remember that not everybody on here are car people. I've been working on cars forever in one way or another so I'm just like whatever but alot of people aren't car savvy.

I mounted a tire the other day with my tire changer and took it to a local tire place to get balanced because I don't have a balancer yet. Anyway while I was there some dude came in and asked the counter guy how much it cost to change a battery. Naturally, because I'm a car guy, I thought it was absurd that this dude couldn't change his own battery but for all I know he could be super smart in another aspect that I know nothing about.

I guess the "dumbest" questions are questions that are asked before researching.

We don't get irritate at stupid questions... we get irritated at lazy people. I have seen 3 threads on the same subject, made on the same day, with near identical titles... made by 3 different people. "searching" wasn't even necessary. They only had to look!

Asking a question in a lazy manner will get a negative response as well. "What engine is best to swap into my car" is a lazy question (since we have an entire section dedicated to swaps), but at least it's coherent. "wut engin shud i get 4 my car" will likely get a smartass answer, if it's not simply deleted.

Between those and people asking about some randomass noise coming from a place they aren't capable of describing.. I'm newish here and it already makes me roll my eyes.

The purpose of this thread isn't to insult anyone, just to determine the questions that we should address in a "sticky" format.
