ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hello CB7 World

Hey there just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Cain. This is my second cb7, the first cb7 was actually my first car. Since then I've had several preludes. But with a new job and having to pick up my son from Daycare I think I was time to go back to my roots.

I bought a 93 Accord LX with 212K miles, Auto Tranny. I would say it was in decent condition. It does need alittle TLC but with due time it will all be fixed. So far I have done a complete timing belt job, spark plug tube seal (upper and lower), new seals in the timing area, drained and filled all fluids, tune up (cap, rotor, plug, wires). I would like to run seafoam in the oil to help clean out any sludge but alittle hesitant with the milage. I was mainly looking for a work horse to get me to and from work. Hopefully I can get another 200 out of the motor

I still need to replace all engine mounts, cause of all the vibration, new oil pan gasket, and brakes.

    Welcome and nice work!

I've only managed to get my clutch, belts, valve cover, and spark plug seals.

I'm dreading to remove my motor to replace the rear main seal. I'm hoping till last until I can afford my 250-300 na whp rebuild next year with my tax return.

But don't be afraid to seafoam your car, just run a few or several gas tanks with high quality fuel injector cleaner and heet. Then follow through with a fuel filter change afterwards.

I had an g2 91 acura legend 5 speed sedan I owned for 5 years and put over 155k miles on it. It had a whopping 360k miles on the original motor and tranny. When I seafoamed her I had no problems and she ran smoother. Boy do I miss 200 hp and torque from the v6 lol.

Anyways, looking forward to some photos.

Any plans aesthetic wise or are you looking forward to restore her to her original glory as she rolled of the factory floor?

I've been reading a lot on an engine oil additive to help clean out the inside. Its not to bad but I think it just peace of mind for me.

As for future plans, I think I'm just going to keep it stock as possible. But that can always change later on. I'll post some pic after a wash and wax.
