Huh that's weird, did this happen recently? I could've sworn i copied the link for someone like a month ago and it existed then.

It happened on December 15th.
I was actually going to take ownership of the site, but there were issues.

The site was originally created by Erik, who eventually passed it to Aaron. Well... sort of. Aaron was the new "owner", but never had access to the database. Erik claimed that the database was on an "unmanned server", and even he didn't have access to it. Without access to the server, there was no way in hell I was going to accept "ownership" of the site. I'd only take ownership of the domain name, and I'd have as much control over the database as the admins such as JoshM do on this site! Absolutely worthless. It was sad to let it go, as MyCB7 was a very good site. I had hoped to keep it going, as an alternative to this site (seeing as many people don't like how things are run here... or they don't like the black background.)

I'm driving Erik's old car. He started NWTuners too, but it had the same outcome as MyCb7.

I still don't know if he sold MyCB7 to Aaron, or if he just gave it to him... but Aaron never really owned anything but the domain name. I think that's shady as hell.
It's a shame. If Aaron had access to the MyCB7 server, and could've passed full ownership to me (with database access), I'd have the site moved over to Pandemic's servers and it'd continue running today.
I rarely used that site... usually to go over there and laugh at all the people that wanted to bitch about being banned from this one... but it was nice to see another CB7 community thriving (if weakly.)

I do agree, though... too many ads. I'd have removed most of them. The ads on this site only go towards the cost of running it. The ads at the top right (which will hopefully be going away soon) have never been paid for. They were placed there as a courtesy to people with Member Shops (Bisi and TASauto), and for Accord R33's help in adding said code (he was the owner of DigMyHonda, when it existed.)

I was on MyCb7 for a long time before this place. Erik and I used to run around a lot and set up a lot of NW meets. He lives about 7 minutes from me now. I took him for a ride the CB about 6 months ago and he was ecstatic. He said that it ran and rode like he always wanted it too. It was in horrible condition when I got it and didn't even run.

I just remembered about it now too, also because i just got something In the mail. When you get it figured out and remove the banner ads, maybe you can just have our eBay link up there. That way it's always available.

The banner ads are going away soon, hopefully. cpmike and I were discussing putting a Google search up there (well, that discussion was more like cpmike saying he wanted to do it, and me saying ok...) It would be cool if I could find a way to put a commission-based ebay search bar up there as well. Wouldn't hurt anyone here when they're shopping for ebay parts, but it'd help this site out a lot!
