Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Question about posts..

    Why my post count remained unchanged even after making posts? My post has been at 15 posts for sometimes now even after making legitimate, non-spamming posts...a little confusing

    It looks like the majority of your posts have been in the Off Topic and Image Gallery sections. Neither of those areas will generate counted posts. The post count measure is a way to rate someone such that those who are inexperienced can determine who to seek advice from. A new person might be more inclined to take advice from someone who has 10,000 posts on a subject instead of 10. Obviously, this is very far from a perfect system as there are tons of people who keep their knowledge in the garage and don't mess with forums too often.

    Posting images, while a valuable contribution, doesn't usually contribute to the breadth of information that a forum contains. So it does not provide as much value as a post detailing useful information would. Of course there are tons of posts made in counting sections that are fairly useless as well, but there's no perfect system.

    So, don't be discouraged about stuff like that. They will come in time. Just take a few moments out to check up on some of the other beginner threads and try to fins a question or two that hasn't been answered. If you have one of your own, go ahead and ask!

    It may not be what you wanted, but I hope it was helpful.

        That is also explained in the rules. Now might be a good time to review them again.
