Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    New GTI

    Anyone driven an '06? My bud just picked one up today and i drove it...still a little underpowered but nonetheless a pretty damn quick car...

    they arent that quick to me, my friend has one. they look like the VW LOPO. there ok i guess.

      yeah...the handling in rough traffic was pretty nice, but off the line theyd get smoked by any boosted f22 or stock prelude....theyre underpowerd for the price tag.

        They dont look all that IMO...i like the AUDI version better...

        How much do those new GTI's run anyway? please dont tell me they run over $25,000...

          You bet your ass they do! The power is nice for it's category but it's just got so much weight. It weighs as much as an LS1 Camaro. But they do handle very nicely.

            the one C&D (i think it was them, maybe it was Road and Track) tested against the Civic Si and Mini Cooper was close to 28k I think. it had teh DSG and everything. the Civic, fully loaded, came to like 22k. MUCH better deal IMO, but . . . you always get what you pay for, they said the VW was put together much nicer than the Civic.

                Yeah, most German cars are heavy, but you know what? I like that feeling...of safety..ever slam a door on a V-DUb? heavy...secure...blap.

                Damn, didnt know that they were that expensive...but, again, id rather cop the Audi version, A3...just for a tad more luxury...lol!

                  VW interiors are beautiful..well the newer ones...the exterior is ***..the r32 was so sick i love that golf....new gti is crap for the money imo

                      my bud just got one off the lot for ~$26,000...way over priced IMO but i really have no complaints...theyre pretty solid cars, and the handling is unbeatable...
