ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hey Dan.

    Great to meet you.

It sounds like you have a fantastic Honda Prelude, especially with its history of being well cared for. Keeping it 100% stock is a solid goal, and your updates like the tint, aftermarket radio, and LED headlights sound like nice enhancements while still maintaining the classic vibe.

Enjoy your Prelude and happy driving.

    Thanks

Thanks a lot Charles! It's been a very nice Accord and I plan on keeping it for a long time, hopefully.

I am currently faced with another annoying issue in regards to the fuel gauge.
When I first got the car, it was working properly. Later on down the road, it started to only read "Full". I swapped out the Fuel Sending Unit for a brand new Honda OEM one. I also cleaned the ground connection. Everything seemed to be working fine, but there is a new problem. It takes 36 miles for the needle to finally move from "Full" after filling up the tank. Then, the needle likes to stay at 3/4 for the longest time. Sometimes I get in my car and the needle will be at the 1/2 line, but when I start driving it moves back to the 3/4 line. After a while, it will eventually drop really fast below the 1/2 line. It seems inconsistent and inaccurate. Thanks.

Possibly something inside behind the gauge cluster?

My shortest comment yet on CB7Tuner.

It could be the floaty thing in the tank?

I already tried replacing the floaty thing (fuel sending unit). Also, I am still getting 12mpg... I am about to give up. Lol. Last three things were a new distributor, I aired up my tires, and I ran a can of seafoam through the intake brake booster line.

Hmmm, and you said you replaced the fuel filter...

Cleaned intake passages. Cleaned EGR valve...

                Replace vacuum lines...

                Replaced spark plugs and wires...

There are no holes in your intake tube?

Spray some soapy water around the throttle body to check for leaks...

                How is acceleration? Good, bad?

I noticed my brothers Accord is quite zippy, it gets to 40 or 50 mph quite quickly without much throttle input, but it is a small car and I'm a lightweight.

You said you did a compression test and it was good. Did you ever do a leak down test to check for proper valve seating?

Maybe it's the o2 sensor that is bad, or something with the main computer? Maybe pull your ECU and check the board for any degradation...

Today I took a highway trip. 113 miles. Filled up 4.3 gallons when I got back. That equates to 26.2mpg. Does that sound about right? I am always city driving 5 mins back and forth to work everyday.

Hmm, you're asking me to do math? Lol

My bro hasn't said anything about the gas mileage being bad so I assume it's fine. I will ask him this week about it.

In the mean time, fingers crossed that you find the culprit.
