ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

how much power does a h22 engine with i/h/e put down?

a k20 engine (rsx type s) responds quite well to those few mods (i/h/e), thrown in a kpro and you have yourself a 13 sec car

And yea it seems like it would be a driver's race.
i think that total cost does have a lot to do with it. who looks more stupid? the guy driving a 14 year old granny car that he spent $6k on total, or the guy drving the brand new "sporty" car with a type-S badge that just got spanked by said granny car?

Imagine the feeling of getting spanked by the wagon version of the granny car. What's that, a hearse? I wanna swap.

well so far i took out an ep3 that my friend bought brand new for near 20k with like 5k in mods and all i spend so far including car is 2400. so who feels dumb? and my car looks better imo.

                        ouch

i sure didn't buy my cars for speed but for realiability and for comfort/luxury. i can easily take an....old mustang and put a few g or a turbo b18b or an h22 into a civic hatch and easily outrace most of the cars out on the road.

i just asked my friend why he got his rsx type s and guess what he said? it fitted his budget for the things he wanted which was the ammenaties it had, exterior styling, smooth ride and some speed. i also asked him what he would do if an older honda was faster then him and....lets just say it was a very rude remark which i don't agree with.

another way to think abuot it would be a dodge srt-4 owner winning in a race against a lexus is300

not really. the srt4 is definately not the underdog here.

my "logical" thinking is that the dodge srt4 = the honda (economical cars) and the rsx type s = lexus is300 (sporty cars) but i might have to come up with another example

bleh...anyways point i was trying to make was that some ppl buy cars for speed while other buy for other needs. and it is not whoever spends more money gets the faster car

a 95 integra ls (stock or with i/h/e) 5 speed is faster than an 04 mercedes c240 6 speed or even an 03 bmw 325i 5 speed, yes i know because i currently own them. more money was spent on buying the benz then the integra....

i don't race or rather can't race with the benz (due to esp and 4k rpm restriction launch). but when i have stop light fun (in the integra) with someone and i was beat i give the thumbs up regardless of what car it was because its just for fun and nothing else. if i lost to a newer car then big whoop, if it was an older car nothing cuz it was all in good fun

the mentality of "ha i beat your new car with an older one (or cheaper one in some cases) so you should feel stupid/foolish" sounds like the thinking of some of the evolution owners over at http://www.evolutionm.net/ b4 their drag racing section banned street races.

i do give props for ppl building up their cars and winning in races but its the negative attitude of them that i don't like. i'm not saying all or most of members here are like that but they do exist.

to be back on topic, what kind of mods did that rsx have?
