ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

well a 94-95 lude runs about a 14.9 on the 1/4 so expect a cb7 with a stock swap to run a 15.1 .. a civicwith a ls can run a good 15.3-15.5 depends on bodytype and mods.

The CB7 is slightly lighter than the Lude, so if the transmission is the H22 transmission, it has a very slight advantage.

You'll need intake and exhaust to run the swap, so that will give you power. Intake and exhaust also make you run rich, so that will cost you power. The motor will be used, so the condition of it will determine how much power it makes.

Other than that, the condition of your tires and your ability to drive will determine the outcome. "bench racing" discussions aren't really allowed on this forum, simply because whether or not you "can" beat a certain car doesn't mean you will. Race and find out. If you lose, then we can figure out how to improve your situation!

I've taken out a 350z, Evo, RX8, Camaro Z28, and hung with an STi. Every single one of those cars should be much faster than mine. You never know until you try.

I STILL haven't broken out of the 15s!

My bad tires, ECU glitch, and former failing clutch are partially to blame, though. I did a 15.123 with a DEAD clutch (riding on rivets!), and 93twodoorLX did a 15.029 in my car on the same clutch.

If I fix all my car's issues, I SHOULD be capable of 14.5.

A short shifter doesn't make your car any faster...

Anything that enhances the driver's ability to drive faster, helps improve times, which does equal to being faster.

Deev, how long have you been making excuses man? If you don't drive her hard enough soon, you may as well just sell the car to someone that will, like me.

I have to fix it first! I'm going to repair the threads with a Time-Sert... I can afford the work, but I have to make sure I can afford to register and insure the car again!
It's not exactly what I wanted to do, but in light of my current situation, I had to go with the cheapest effective solution.

As for the short shifter making shifts faster... it's true... but it's not that much of a difference. Plus, everyone I know with a CB7 using a short shifter has noted increased notchiness in shifting. My short shifter causes me to mis-shift more than the stock shifter did. Recovering from a misshift takes far longer than the time it takes to shift with a stock throw.

yes, depending on the used motor you get, will kind of determine your time also. cb7extreme ran 14.3 with only basic bolt ons and a stage 1 clutch. oh yeah, h23 trans also. and a pretty stiff suspension. good sh#t Tony.
