My CB9 Crashed

Well I was on my way to work, just left the house and one block up the street a lady ran the stop sign @ 35mph and runs her Nissan Armada into the driver front of my CB9. I just got it back from the body shop Tuesday . I had all dents, dings, scratches and rust removed and primered . After the police report she offered to pay for the repairs and took me to some shady ass body shop. The guy only wanted to pull the rad support & apron and then toss on a new hood, light, fender, bumper and grill, then paint. He didn't want to fix the mechanical end!

So I left to have my fav body shop estimate it and about 2 blocks away I lose power steering & the whole spindle breaks off. AAA towed it to Collision Max who quoted me $5600 and 3 weeks to fix her back up. Lady is refusing to pay that, so I offered her to pay for the value of the wagon @ $2500 and she refuse that too. So Monday I have to call my insurance company, Friday get the police report and submit to her insurance company. I have no where to parked it since my da is in the driveway in the mist of a turbo swap, so I'll have to put it in my storage. I'll have to pickup a new car this week and swap tags/insurance to it.

Anyone ever deal with insurance payouts? What the typical time frame for payment?

Eh, gauging interest. I was using getting tired of sleeping with one eye open. Too many people tried to steal it. I was going to get a civic since it would be better on gas for my line of work. Now I have nothing to use for work except the caravan.

ive dealt with insurance my entire life, my dad does it for a living. ive also had someone wreck my exgfs car when we were dating. the car was totalled, they paid us blue book value for the car which was actually almost a grand more than what we paid. it took about a month or so for the check to come.

Fight to have it fixed PROPERLY. She hit you... there's no reason why you should have to have a shitty repair job because she's too cheap to pay for her mistakes! If she doesn't want to pay $5000 to fix your car, she should've been paying attention to the signs!

You're an enthusiast. Your membership to this site prior to the accident supports that. You just had the minor body flaws removed from your car... you have the paperwork and people to back that up. She didn't just hit an old Accord. She hit something that meant something to you. Sue her ass!
